Could the courageous – and unlikely – victory by Raheem Morris’ Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the New Orleans Saints be an emphatic response to fears that former Pittsburgh Steelers Coach Bill Cowher is on the verge of taking over the lowly squad.
On Sunday, rumors swirled around the league that Tampa Bay brass has had enough of its experiment with Morris, the youngest head coach in the NFL. The Bucs have been embarrassed throughout the year, only mustering a meager 3-12 record.

High School Football Player Amazing Touchdown Run!!!

Yes, Wilder is the son of former NFL star running back James Wilder. But no, we can't recall Wilder - or any other NFL player - doing this. On the way to the end zone, Wilder knocks over three defenders simultaneously, as if they were bowling pins. He gets turned around, but that doesn't matter, he spins out of it and works his way down the field for the score.
And let's be clear, this was a top-notch defense from as good a high school football state as there is.

To Christmas TV watchers, they're as familiar as Jimmy Stewart and Peter Billingsley.
Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant will each be playing in their 12th Christmas Day game on Friday when the Cavs visit the Lakers at Staples Center (5 p.m. ET, ABC). Considering that the average NBA player has just five years of experience, playing on Christmas 12 times is a pretty amazing feat.

SAN DIEGO -- Much of Chad Ochocinco's media-savvy life is carefully crafted for maximum exposure. Sunday was not. Sunday, the actions and emotions were spontaneous. The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver did not wear his friend Chris Henry's jersey onto the field at Qualcomm Stadium, but he took a piece of his late teammate's soul with him.
He hung the No. 15 jersey in a locker stall next to his. A "15" nameplate appeared above the empty locker.

The Jaguars rewarded their first sellout crowd of the season with a thriller, but ultimately couldn’t quite measure up to the Colts.
Indianapolis moved to 14-0 with the sort of late-game precision that’s become expected from Peyton Manning. Their 35-31 win has to rank among the year’s very best games.
With the free-flowing matchup slowed and turning defensive, Reggie Wayne ran past rookie corner Derek Cox and safety Reggie Nelson to score on a 65-yard pass.

There typically is no more heated debate -- in any sport -- as to who is the Most Valuable Player. Not just because there are usually at least a half dozen deserving candidates, but also because of this argument: Is he or she the best player in the league or is he or she the most valuable to his or her team?
After 10 games, New Orleans and Indianapolis are the only undefeated teams. There is no doubt that Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Colts quarterback Peyton Manning would be front-runners...
